This is the oddest and most wonderful "grocery store." Half the shelves are empty much of the time, but that's OK because it also houses Makai Sushi, Aneke's Juice Bar, and So Thai - all of which are very yummy. Keep checking the refrigerated shelf for fresh local beef and fish. There's also a small selection of local produce and other products. You won't do your big grocery shop here, but you also won't go hungry.
Happy to discover this market! I bought lunch here-- a nice hot to-go meal in a container; it was yummy and quite filling. Also, I was excited to find "oatmeal" jars, which are so much more than oatmeal!
Seems to me the best kept secret in the area. Cheap booze with a decent selection of beer and liquor, general essentials for a couple or family on a vacation staying in the area in terms of food, drinks, frozen items, and over the counter medicine. A few different food places in the market to eat from that are excellent and reasonable in price given the large portions. Keep this place in mind if you're in the area.
The actual market seemed pretty wiped out. A lot of empty shelves. They had some prepared sandwiches that were pretty good. They had 4 different sushi rolls, of which we tried 3. The sushi was good, but not only did they all look identical, they tasted the same. I couldn't really differentiate any flavors between the rolls, at least it tasted good.
Some good options, and the food places nearby are awesome. Super good smoothie type place in the back.
