Clean, not too many people probably because it is off season. Small warm laguna, at least 50% of people are 40 years or older and from Asia.
This beach is nice for like kids snorkling, but nothing to be blown away by in anyway if you been to bettwr beaches like ones in Maui. There are rocks on the ocean floor that can mess you up if you are here to swim. But parking is nice and there are bars around and benches to pic nic
Some of the coolest people I Have met in a long time. A great place for kids, family and fun.
This was my 9 year old's favorite beach on Kauai during our December visit. Tons of sea life to check out (just remember to give the animals lots of space!), and calm conditions for snorkelling. Beach is guarded and there is a shallow area protected by a jetty that is perfect for the smaller kids. We saw sea turtles, tons of fish and crabs, and even a Monk Seal while here. The down side: This beach can get VERY crowded and finding a parking spot can be a pain. Get here early or be prepared to circle the lot for a while... Also, there is very limited shade near the beach except for a small stand of evergreen trees to the east side.
Nice beach, it seems more for kids. It has a shallow area where they can enjoy themselves
