A bit tricky to find as we stayed in another resort, but worth it. (It is in the lobby, while google maps drops you off in the nearby parking lot and the net says that it is another spa)
Very relaxing, the ambiance they create is just a taste of how you will feel after visiting. Made the vacation 10x better..
I was staying at the Sheraton with a friend and we decided we wanted a Spa treatment. We were directed to The Spa at Koloa Landing. The person answering the phone seemed very confused and unorganized, she wasn't sure the treatment I was requesting was available. The body scrub with mud masque. We arrived at the spa and were directed to sit at the tranquility pool. There was nothing tranquil about it. The landscapers where there with leaf blowers. When it was time for our treatment we were not given a tour of the facility or the amenities. I went in the steam room and if you are not a size zero you will not fit comfortably on the wedge of a seat. My therapist was Patty and she was very unorganized and rushed. Below is what I expected:
Had an 80 minute Lomi Lomi massage with foot polish and was in heaven. Professional service and great body work. I've had lots of massages and this one sticks out. Topped off the massage with a complementary lava cake and pool access.
Mauka to Makai (from mountains to the sea) Treatment
What I received was my arms & legs scrubbed, cabinet doors being opened and closed, squeaking tennis shoes, lights on, the mud mask was not warm and was put on my arms, legs and back then a plastic tarp was laid over me. I was cold! Then Patty came up and put some lotion on my face and jerkily rubbed my neck. There was no quiet or relaxing time. As soon as she finished rubbing my neck she started pulling everything off of me. The overall environment was loud, cold, unorganized and felt like a Spa Mill where everyone is rushed to move onto the next client. Save your time and money....it's not worth it.
Went in for a 50-minute couples massage, it was amazing. Thanks to Sophie for suggesting the upgrade to deep-tissue treatment. It was really relaxing and great.
Will come again next time i'm on the island.
