i want to give this place a better rating but i just can't. while the food was tasty-i had the pork breakfast burrito and a fruit plate- the service was so much less than great. the only friendly service we got was from the guy bussing tables. i definitely took issue with their seating and ordering system which obviously works only for them, not their customers. it felt like we were shuffled through and unwelcome throughout the entire process. when we attempted to go back a second time and grab some take out, they wouldn't take any orders over the phone and said we could only get take out if we waited for a table. again, strange process. the only thing that makes it all make sense is that their kitchen must not be set up to handle the volume of tables they seat, so they heard you in on their schedule. strange.
We'd not only eat here again but would even be fine ordering the same food!
Friendly staff. Delicious coffee. Very delicious special scramble. So good pancakes. Delicious local hot sauce served from Kauai Juice Co. next door.
The overall process is different than many restaurants in that you add your name to a waiting list, and grab your own menu under the wait list board. A few minutes after you're seated they will come and get you to order and pay inside instead of having wait staff come and get your order. Food comes out of the kitchen shortly after. Our total wait time to be seated was roughly 5 minutes and an additional 5 minutes before ordering. Food came a few minutes after that.
Steak burrito wasn't any good. The banana macadamia pancakes were decent. The potatoes were good and the pork fried rice with eggs was GREAT! Service was pretty strange. They only have about 6 tables. They have you sign in on a paper then they call you to sit down and then they call you to go inside and order then they bring your food out to you. The tables are pretty small if you have side and drinks, the plates hang off the table.
Excellent food and punctual service. Food comes very promptly after ordering and everything ordered was awesome with healthy portions.
We found this right before we went home. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Reasonably priced, excellent selection...those dang waffles with the coconut topping were out of this world! Wish we would have found it earlier!
