BANH MI SANDWICH House made Asian pork meatballs, pickled vegetables, cilantro with sriracha mayo on French bread
Here in text is how they advertise their banh mi sandwich:
I expect prices on Kauai to be high but this was extreme. The produce was not nearly as fresh as advertised and I had a bad interaction with one of the managers - not a customer service driven store in my opinion. You'd be better off buying local produce at the fruit stands and finding organic items at the other grocery stores on the island.
My pic says otherwise. I didn't take pic of the meat inside but it was no pork meatballs.
We have gotten food to go here before and it has all been pretty good. This time we ordered poke bowls and they were great.
This place is the future of markets. Integration of local produce, 'farm to table', wholesome living and etc. Very much like a mini version of Whole foods but better. It's great for people who want to be healthy and live an active life. I like the vibe, old wood exposed with weaved baskets of produce offering. The market has a wide variety of snacks and lots of fluid choices for the day and of course celebrating into the evenings. There is a kitchen with a nice offering of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's relatively busy by lunch time. The location is placed perfectly at the end of a mall that gets lots of traffic. The prices are catered to the tourist in the region.
Pricy but good variety of local healthy products. Good place to buy Kauai souvenirs, too.
