The unit I had was like walking back into 1985. It is at least 20 years overdue for some updating. At least it was clean and there was a partial ocean view. But airflow was not good and there is no air conditioning. Had to keep three fans running at high speed the entire time. The worst part, though, was after I checked in when they then informed me that the next day there would be scheduled maintenance inside my unit to install a cable conduit and new cable line. I said I was planning to be in the unit during the morning and they said they would make a note of that to come do the work in the afternoon. Instead, their cable provider turned off the Internet and TV service to the entire complex at 8:45am. So even though I had paid full price rent for the unit, I was forced to leave for a day so they could do scheduled maintenance. Bad management! IF YOU ARE SCHEDULING MAINTENANCE INSIDE A UNIT, THEN DO NOT RENT IT OUT FOR THAT TIME PERIOD!!! Complained at the front desk and got an "I'm sorry."
We loved our condo! It was really clean and decorated with care. Everything you think you'd need, it was there! The bed was suuuuuper comfortable and so was the pull-out couch. The kitchen was gorgeous - remodeled in the last few years. There was a booklet with recommendations as far as what to do, where to eat, and what's what on the island - it was very nice that they gave some advice! The whole community was friendly and I couldn't think of a better place to stay. The beach was a two-minute walk away! And the price was reasonable when you compare with others in the area.
Had a great romantic dinner hear overlooking the lush gardens. I had the local catch. It was well prepared. The service was knowledgeable and friendly.
Loved this resort! Just got back from our stay 11/11-11/17. Location was PERFECT! Can walk to shops, pool, beach, restaurants. Short drive from the airport. Also, convenient drive (30-40min AT MOST) to sightseeing/hikes. Not only all this, but their staff is amazing. Our flight home wasn't until 11:30pm, but we still had all day after checkout at 11am to go to the beach/pool. They offered a hospitality room for showers before our flight!!! We were absolutely stoked and so thankful. Anyway, definitely recommend this resort. Kauai is such a beautiful island, already wanting to go visit again!
