Nothing overly fancy but perfect for a girls trip! Right near the water beautiful location, plenty of parking and it was nice having a kitchen. Javie was very helpful and friendly - full of great suggestions for Everything and even let us borrower a couple travel books!
Couldn't fault it at all. We stayed in the one bedroom Orchid room and it was a very generous size (bigger than expected) with proper kitchen, a decent shower too. Parking very close to rooms and a nice garden. There was also beach towels and chairs/umbrellas in the office free to use. Would stay again.
Imagine someone right outside your window, nightly, starting at ~2:30am yelling every 30 min or so..."WAKE UP!!!" and then continuing to yell it 8-10 times with 1-2 min intervals. Then silent for 20-30 min and then yelling again "WAKE UP!!" 8-10 times. ***Repeat cycle*** Literally. Not one bit of exaggeration. Bed was ok, toilet flushed randomly, sink was very slow to drain, room was very clean, grounds were clean, staff was friendly. Roosters are protected here but from what I've read online if they're on your property it's ok to kill or remove them. A trip to Kauai should come with a warning: Roosters crowing all night/day long may prevent you from having a peaceful vacation and/or nights rest.
We've loved it so far. The parking is tight, but we prefer the trees rather than having a bigger lot. Great location, we walked to breakfast and the beach. It's clean, and there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for us. Showers are really tiny. Love that we can get towels and beach chairs from the office.
Nice room, location and food and kept very clean. Helpful staff and lots of equipment available for loan. Not the best B&B we've stayed in but in the top 10 for sure. Great value for the price.
This review is literal - If you're ok with roosters 25 feet outside your window crowing from 230am on, this is the place for you but to be fair, the roosters can show up anywhere. If i were you, call and ask the desk if there are any roosters on the property currently and what their policy is if they do migrate to the property during your stay.
Update - Staff removed the crowing roosters, fixed the sink. We only had 4 nights of the roosters crowing. Thanks to the staff for removing them.
