The grounds are very well maintained with a gated swimming pool that the kids LOVED! BBQ grills are located near the pool for grilling.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The decor and amenities were amazing. They had all the cookware and cutlery we needed to cook the entire stay (4 days/nights) and the pool and hot tub were right next to our rental. The whole thing was only a short walk to the beach to swim and watch the sun set
Cons: Lower units can hear the people above walking. There's something about the construction that accentuates the sound of people walking and children running.
Bottom line: when we go back to Hawaii, there is no doubt we'll be staying at the Villas at Poipu Kai.
Stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa here for 4 nights. Property is relatively strict with rules but the stay was very pleasant for my family. They were very accommodating for my infant providing a crib and high chair. They have a very convenient shared beach closet filled with stuff for the pool and beach you can borrow daily. Location is great. Just wish their kitchen stocked more essential items like oil and butter for use.
I can't even begin to describe how perfect The Villas at Poipu Kai are! First, the location is ideal: 5 minute walk from the beach with trails to several of the best beaches we went to. Only a few minutes drive away from a couple of great towns with great shopping and restaurants.
First of all, if you are planning a trip to Kauai, Poipu is the best place to stay. We had perfect, sunny days for the whole trip, while it was rainy and overcast on the north side.
Amazing rentals with great amenities. Beautiful decor and comfortable beds. Bathrooms are to die for after a great day at the beach a 5 min walk aeay.
I can't imagine staying in a hotel and having to eat out for EVERY meal, we saved a ton of money by making breakfast and a couple other meals at the villa.
The inside of the villa was downright incredible! High ceilings, beautiful dark wood floors and trim, huge rooms and massive bathrooms. We stayed in a unit with three bedrooms and a big kitchen/dining/ family room, which was perfect for gathering with our other family members.
We also loved the huge wrap-around balcony that looked out over the pool and palm trees.
Pros: Central AC, large rooms, nicely decorated, close to ocean, nestled among the many condo developments of Poipu, Kauai. Nice work out facility. Friendly staff.
