Amazing gardens. A room made of plants. The trees from Jurassic Park.
I would suggest the longer tour, which still seems short because of it’s impressive gardens and beautiful plants. The tour guides are very informative. They provide umbrellas, which are necessary most days. The garden tour is at a slow pace, and that is necessary with so much to take in. The different theme rooms, as they’re called, are some of the most amazing landscaping and architecture accompanied by beautiful sculpture, that I’ve ever seen. Tours are small and this allows for any question interaction you may have with the tour guide.
Allerton Gardens admission is quite high, at $50 per person, but the fee is well worth it. Our guide, Sam, was funny, informative, and a true Hawaiian. Even the young people with us were quite pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoyed this activity. The money is used to help take care of this treasure which is an important part of history as well as a magical place!
Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Gardens were gorgeous and rich with history. Large trees were part of the filming of Jurassic Park!
Wonderful botanical garden. Not cheap but if you dig plants and gardens a must see
