Played the first permanent disc golf course on the Garden Island, Kauai. Currently under construction, baskets are up and tee boxes and landscape in progress. 9 baskets, 1 practice basket. Two tree tunnels, some cactus(be careful when picking up disc), and some trade winds. Respect the neighbors. End of Kipuka Rd. Part of Ka' uhane O'Mokulele, the spirit of flying and Kauai Disc Golf. Discs sold at Puakea Golf Course behind Costco in Lihue.
Nice new cages in a beautiful setting. Still a work in progress but they are doing a great job in making a fun course.
Nice little 9 hole course. Just put concrete tee pads in this week. Thank you to the local discers for putting in that time and effort. You did a great job.
The creator of the course Phil really made the experience great, loaning us discs to use for the day and playing the course with us! Super friendly face and a great guy who's really putting his all into making this course a fun and happy place for any level of disc golf player.
This is a brand new 9 hole disc golf course on the island, and it was a great time. Really great cheap thing to do on the island, one of the only ways to have fun without paying loads of money. Course was diverse and had a variety of midranged holes, including some tree tunnels and hidden baskets which I had never seen before at any other course.
This is not destination disc golf, it's a little pitch and putt where you won't need much more than a putter. That said, it's the only disc golf on the island, the baskets are nice, the tee pads are new (if small), there's parking and a bathroom, so it's way better than nothing. Hole seven you have to push your putter or grab a mid range, at least.
I definitely recommend anyone who is interested in trying or is already well versed in disc golf to give this course a shot.
